In order to support all aspects of the aquaculture lifecycle, we utilize a number of facilities in the Driftless Area to ensure each space can focus on a specialized stage of fish growth.
SPRING VALLEY PONDS
Spring Valley Ponds is the flagship of our operation. This site is 28 acres with one of the largest artesian springs in Minnesota with upwards of 2,000 gallons per minute of flow. Commercial aquaculture, recreational fishing, and the beauty of the Driftless Area all converge on this one site.
TRIPLE T ranch
This spring-fed raceway farm is one of the most scenic farms imaginable, encapsulating the true nature of the Driftless Area. This site is used for the final growth stages of our fish. As a bonus, Jerry “The Mayor” keeps this property in tip-top, golf-course shape.
Sand quarries are a remarkable source of high quality water. Sand dredging below the water table creates a man-made spring filling the void of the dredged material. What's left is a 5 acre pond full of clean, cold water, creating perfect conditions for trout culture. Floating raceways are used to rear our fish in this private oasis.
This one-of-a-kind hatchery is completely underground. A natural spring starts inside the building where it is captured by a large cistern. This allows us to regulate the flow of water to any area of the building. Our primary use of this site is for hatching fertilized eggs and rearing the newly hatched fry to a fingerling size.
Steel TROUT FARM
Sourcing water from a large natural spring, this site includes a steel-covered building to protect our young fish from hungry predators. The crystal clear water then feeds a series of outdoor grow-out ponds full of aquatic insects.
